THE PROBLEM
Someone always ends up planning.
Every group chat I’m in has someone saying “we should do this.” Then nothing happens, or one person ends up planning everything.
Before building, I ran initial research: 15 participants across a survey and interviews. 10 of 15 were the group’s planner friend. Finding a date and a venue were the hardest parts. Nobody wanted everyone paying a share.
10 of 15 were the planner friend.
DECISION 1
Make gatherings keep happening
Everyone has a say, people bring something instead of paying, and no one carries the planning forever. It sits next to WhatsApp, so there’s no new chat to manage.
- Schema-validated output
- Manual fallback
- VERIFIED LIST
DECISION 2
AI where it helps, with edges.
Describe an idea in your own words and AI turns it into an idea card. The output is schema-validated JSON. If it fails, a simple form takes over.
Venue suggestions come only from 28 Stockholm venues I verified, plus places your group saved. The model can’t invent a place.
- React
- Supabase
- Row-level security
- Edge functions
DECISION 3
The rules live in the database.
Round states, deadlines, claim limits and who sees what are enforced with row-level security. The app holds even if the UI doesn’t. I cleared the security scan before launch.

BRAND
A brand in a day.
A hand-carved green tomato stamp, a nod to Fried Green Tomatoes and the Whistle Stop Café. Hands for the brand, AI for the build.
